2003-05-09 - 10:49 p.m. So, it's (yet again) been awhile since I posted in this thing. I'll start off with babbling about my recent fanwriting, since this is the only place I can do such things. 1) I've written a lot of stuff recently. I've also gotten a lot of nice feedback, which leads me to believe I may be suffering from Imminent Death Syndrome. (/Mr. Show ref.) 2) I just uploaded a slashy Leo/Donna story to fandomination.net. It started when Donna said two words to Leo in 'Evidence of Things Not Seen' (Yes, Sir), and I ended up getting this weird bit of prose stuck in my head. It became slashy because Priya pimped my last attempt at sorta slashy Leo/Donna on her livejournal and, as we know, I can easily be led into anything, particularly repeating myself. This story (She Won't) is different from the other story (They Are Not) because it's shorter, more slashy, and slashy in a m/m and f/f way. Yes, that is my version of equality of the sexes. Shut up. 3) I started writing the 'Where We Go From Here' series again. I reread the other stories first and, I must admit, they don't suck that hard. And, I swear, by the end of summer, I will finish that damn series. I could get all self deprecating and say, "not that anyone cares" but two people just emailed me about it recently. That series has been my biggest feedback grabber overall, for whatever reason. Leo/Donna is going to be my legacy in the 'Wing' fandom. Well, as much as a legacy as I will have. 4) I will write more Donna/Amy. More on that later. 5) I'm also going to write Will/Donna, just because. And I know I'm going to write Will/Josh, although I know it'll suck. I just really want to slash Will and Josh is all. (nervously shuffles feet) Now, I'm going to babble about last week's episode of 'Smallville,' the past two episodes of 'The West Wing,' last night's 'CSI,' Monday's 'Boston Public,' and last Sunday's 'Six Feet Under.' I may also say something about 'American Idol.' Damn, I watch too much TV. Spoiler Space for all concerned shows, just in case. 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 First of all, 'Smallville'? I don't wan't to sound creepy, but 'Witness' could be an obvious setup for some Chloe/Lionel. Stop looking at me like that. Seriously. I mean, think about all the 'Lex seduces Chloe over to the dark side' stories you see. (Not that I have anything against *those* stories, no sirree.) Lionel could *so* easily be substituted for a big ball of fucked up angst. I would read it. And, if anyone's seen it, show it to me. I will marry you. And 'The West Wing'? I can't tell you how depressed I am to see Hoynes go. And I never even wrote a Hoynes fic. I shall change that soon, if only as a tribute to him. And that final scene with Hoynes, Leo, and Jed? It seemed to me that Leo was acting like *he'd* been cheated on. Started out all pissed off, then as soon as Hoynes says he's leaving, he starts to talk about how horrible Helen Baldwin is and, please, please John, don't leave. I'm just saying. Also, rather liked Joe Quincy. I wouldn't be pissed if I had to see him again. As for 'Commencement' -- well, I can't tell you how happy I was with that Donna/Amy stuff. C'mon that was *so* subtexty. And other people saw it, at least according to a few livejournals and the WWFemslash list. I'll tell you, seeing things is so much more satisfying when others see it too. And, as for the question, someone tell me she was going to say no. Okay, I know that I was a big J/D shipper long time ago, but I so don't want it to happen anymore. They would both be more interesting with other people. Sary, though, wrote a post-ep that was exactly what I hope happened. That story also came off as kinda slashy, but that may have been my imagination after watching that slash-tastic piece of TV. And, also, why would Amy ask that? If she's still interested in Josh, I don't think she wants an out-in-the-open rivalry with Donna. If she's not, I don't see why she'd feel comfortable asking that, even if she did have a day of *ahem* friendliness with Donna. There is a slashy explanation for this, though. Either 1) Amy and Donna *are* sleeping together. or 2) Amy wanted to ask her out, so she was curious if she was already involved. Okay, so I reached so far for that one that my shoulder popped out of its socket. However, I am definitely going to end up writing that. Because I have to. Donna/Amy makes me too frickin' happy, I think. And, as for the ending? I was shocked how affecting I found it. I knew it was coming, I saw the clips of Leo running in the promos, and rolled my skeptical eyes. But I actually felt sick as they were walking around the club looking for Zoey, and as it built to Leo's reaction, I felt *really* awful. I don't know how you do it, Sorkin. Why are you leaving me, you bastard? And I say bastard with a lot of love and affection. Really. I could say more about both 'Wing' eps, bit I could always say more. But I can't talk about this forever. So. 'CSI.' I love Grissom/Sara. I love Sara. But last night, they made her look crazy. Honestly, I thought she was a few moments away from boiling his bugs and yelling, "I won't be ignored, Griss!" Christ. Are they trying to kill my ship and my girl? Yes, apparently. I am really not liking this. At. All. I want to hug Greg, though. How could I not? Speaking of hugging, Guber must not go. But, if he does, at least I won't have to deal with the crappy subplots that surround him. And, also, why can't someone *not* want to keep a kid that's foisted upon them? Go like, "Dude, thanks but no thanks. This kid's an angel wing loving freak, and I don't care if she drinks her damn juice." But then I guess the character wouldn't be likeable. Damn TV and its rules. And 'SFU' -- didn't we all see the Russell/Olivier thing coming? Felt bad for Claire, though. Finally in a decent, affectionate relationship, and he has to cheat on her with Eurotrash. And Clay Aiken must win. I don't care about Ruben. Ruben's fine. But Clay. Kicks. Ass. Also, still pissed that I actually care about this. I'm going to go check my email. And bug people.
